Lot Classifications / Site Classifications
Our Lot Classification assessments are provided in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and professional papers, backed by laboratory testing in a NATA approved laboratory where required, and checked against our extensive data base which has been developed over the past 25 years. Foundation recommendations are provided for all Class P sites
-
Slope Stability Assessments
We are continually adding to our data base newly occurring and discovered landslides, which adds to our extensive knowledge of our service area. Our site investigation techniques allow us to create an overall geotechnical model of your site, from which the level of risk can be quantified. We can assess sites which may be subject to land instability owed to steep slopes, topography, rock fall, creek or river erosion, or coastal erosion processes
-
Geotechnical Assessments
We pride ourselves in our ability to provide you with a level of investigation most suitable for your site and proposed development. The level and extent of ground investigations can start with the simplest jobs being carried out with hand operated testing equipment, increasing to machine augured boreholes or test pits, up to investigations that require drilling rigs with rock coring capabilities.
We can check the soils at your site for acid sulphate, electrical conductivity / salinity, and soil permeability. Geotechnical recommendations are provided to allow you design for the assessed site constraints, footing design, drainage design, earthworks and retaining wall design.
-
On-Site Disposal of Effluent Assessments
Following the site assessment and soil testing, a Water Cycle Management Study is presented in our reports which will be carried out with locally available treatment solutions applicable to your site. We will consult with you the results and recommend the most suitable system based on the site conditions and budget
Where Do We Operate?

People
Nick Boers (MIE Aust CPEng NER) started in the geotechnical engineering field at age 15 during high school work experience with a geotechnical consultant based in Newcastle.
Encouraged by his Father who was a diamond driller, Nick would often assist his Father in machine operations during site investigations for local geotechnical consultants and geologists. Nick has gained most of his geotechnical specific experience by working for geotechnical engineering consultants based in Wollongong, Sydney, and Lithgow, covering a variety of projects in terms of complexity, location, and size. Nick also has a few years’ experience in Project Management gained with a Civil Earthworks company specialising in high rise building excavations, and some oversees experience in Project Management and Surveying.
Given the exposure to operating his Fathers machinery from an early age and gaining about 10 years in underground mining experience, Nick has been able to combine both skill sets associated with geotechnical engineering site assessments, and operating the machinery required to carry them out. Nick has undertaken all sight investigations, has overseen all reports, since taking over from the previous director in 2017. Nick is dedicated to continuing on the service and direction of the business and maintaining it’s core values and quality.
